Overview
This project focused on creating a functional, visually striking outdoor living space that supported the homes existing amenities while being precisely located to take full advantage of the Canterbury sun.
Careful site excavation and drainage installation laid the groundwork for long-term durability, while 17m² of reinforced concrete pavements were finished with charcoal oxide and acid-wash detailing to seamlessly blend with existing surfaces.
Structural masonry walls and a steel pergola create a sheltered, all-weather area, complemented by custom outdoor kitchen cabinetry with hardwood cladding and weatherproof detailing. A client-supplied hanging fireplace provides a warm focal point, while the surrounding lawn was reinstated to complete the cohesive, inviting environment.
The result is a beautifully crafted outdoor space that balances style, functionality, and resilience, perfect for entertaining, relaxing, and enjoying the outdoors year-round.
