Unique to this Project

Tight Space: This natural modern landscaping utilised the smaller outdoor area. Each space was expertly designed in order to maximise space and improve functionality.

Corten Steel: Gill Landscapes worked with a lot of corten steel on this site. One example of this was our fabrication of large sheets of corten steel. These were subsequently laser cut with leaves to match the surrounding trees.

Challenges

This site had a protected tree. Our landscapers needed to carefully work around the tree. Above all it needed to be left undisturbed. In order to achieve this, our landscapers air spaded the tree. Subsequently, our landscapers loosened the compacted ground after construction. This enabled the tree to continue to thrive.  Gill Landscapes embraced and respected the Camperdown Elm tree throughout the project. Most importantly we were extra cautious with our project management.

Successes

The end result: This natural modern landscaping is eye catching, inspiring and functional. Gill Landscapes utilised expert construction, great attention to detail and raw materials. As a result the homeowners have a garden that is sharp and modern. The large windows capture the outdoors, welcoming you into the garden to relax and enjoy.

Award winning: This property won a GOLD award for Greenland Homes in the NZ Registered Master Builders House of the Year Awards.
