Fendalton Luxury Retreat

Project Overview

Our team delivered the landscape construction for a high-end residential property in Fendalton, Christchurch. Working alongside the landscape architect Xteriorscapes and specialist pool contractor Nivau Pools, the project focused on creating a refined outdoor environment that complemented the architectural design of the home.

The scope of works included premium paving, pool surrounds, outdoor living areas, and carefully detailed garden spaces designed to provide both functionality and privacy. Vietnamese blue stone was selected as a key material for the paved and pool areas, with finishes tailored for each application to balance durability, safety, and visual consistency. Throughout the project, close collaboration with the client and design team ensured that every element was carefully considered and aligned with the overall design intent.

Located within a flood-prone zone, the project also required careful integration of drainage and water management systems to meet resource consent requirements. Hardscape surfaces were designed to direct runoff into planted areas, helping manage stormwater while supporting the health of the surrounding landscape. The completed landscape forms a cohesive and contemporary outdoor retreat, delivering a private, high-quality living environment that complements the surrounding architectural neighbourhood.

The project received multiple awards at the Registered Master Landscapers Landscapes of Distinction Awards, including Gold in both residential design and construction categories, as well as the People’s Choice award.
